Nikki Delano and her stepdaughter Aften Opal have a heated discussion. Nikki wants to sell their house, but Aften is opposed to that because she has too many precious memories attached to this home. However, Nikki’s mind is made up, and a realtor is already on the way to the house. But Aften is not giving up, and secretly vows to herself to sabotage the sale.

Leah Lee is in her bedroom writing in her diary. It’s her 18th birthday and she’s excited. Meanwhile, her two stepmoms, Cory Chase and Nadia White, are adorning the living room with lots of balloons and other decorations for the occasion. Cory asks if they’ve gone overboard with the decorating, but Nadia insists it’s fine, because this is an EXTRA special birthday for Leah.

Step-sisters Emma Starletto and Lily Larimar both look bored as they sit in an empty classroom. They don’t have any work on their desks and their backpacks are on the floor. Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door. Emma and Lily are surprised when their step-mother Sarah Vandella pokes her head in.
